Departure from Refuge Lunelli in Valgrande di Comelico Superiore (car park) to Refuge Berti in Vallon Popera (about 1 hour from R. Lunelli). Climb the scree up to the beginning of the via ferrata A. Roghel which leads to the pass called Forcella fra le guglie di Stallata. Altitude difference: mt. 1089. After the pass, descend to the Cadin di Stallata on whose southern edge the Bivouac Battaglion Cadore is located. 4hrs
At the end of the canyon, follow the signs to the right that, with a short ascent on the scree, allow you to reach the Cengia Gabriella via ferrata that cuts into the eastern wall of Mount Giralba di Sotto. The fully equipped path leads to the southern side overlooking the Alta Val Giralba up to the sight of the imposing ramparts of Croda dei Toni and the refuge Carducci. At the end of this natural terrace, you descend vertically on easy little rocks equipped with ropes, until you reach a (often snow-covered) gully that opens into a debris valley. Go down again until you come across the path n. 103 which goes up the Val Giralba from Auronzo di Cadore. From here, in 15 minutes, you will reach the R. Carducci. Total altitude difference about mt.1400. EEA (Only for Expert Hikers, Equipped path) 9-10 hrs total.
